Things to know before a yoga retreat in India

A yoga retreat can be the perfect way to kick-start a new daily wellness practice. Why not travel while you’re at it? As spiritual as it is physical, yoga styles range from slow and meditative to more dynamic, but always focus on connecting to one’s breath and body.

Most retreat leaders build optional activities into their retreat program so that when you're not practicing yoga you can be trying out something new. Typical options include paddle-boarding, surfing, and hiking, but you might find cultural activities like cooking classes or exploring local markets and towns too.
